My name is Jonathan Calixte and I have always had an interest in the media industry. My education in journalism began as an undergrad in 2015. During this time I was a staff writer for my school paper.
Providing people with accurate information so that they were informed and aware of what is transpiring made me realize that being a member of the media was an ideal career for me. In 2017 I had the opportunity of furthering my internship experience where I covered stories in Rockland County, New York ranging from sports to politics. I also interned at WRCR AM 1700 in Rockland County. While I was there I was operating the soundboard, wrote news scripts, and edited audio sound bites.
Being on the air and being engaged with the public is something that I enjoyed the most about being a radio personality. My goal is to be a radio personality.
